Lili's Field Day/Shopping 6/2/10

Mom and I volunteered to work at Lili's Field Day today. It was a hot one! She was so excited when we got there. I think she almost forgot that we were coming. We manned the "backward beanbag kick (or something like that)" station. It actually seemed to be a favorite of many of the kids. Lili must have hung around for the majority of the day. She was very good and legitimately beat most all of the other kids. After Field Day, we left Huggins dripping and headed down to Harwin for some cheap jewely shopping. There were a ton of stores...but the two big winners were the pashmina/scarf store and the children's bow and hat stores. Next we headed to Conroe and hit Charming Charlie and the Sam Moon stores. Charming Charlie was an awesome find and had great stuff! We almost needed a whole day to make it through the three Sam Moon stores (which we did not have), but we had a great time shopping with the time we had. Luckily Brett called to remind me what time it was and the drive we had to make in rush hour so we could make it back in time for dinner. Christine and Kim joined us for wine flights and dinner from Newks at Cork Cafe. Great pizza and great wine as usual!
